FIS Worldloppet Cup

The Worldloppet in cooperation with the International Ski Federation croxx-country Committee instituted in 1999/2000. The Cup aims at aimproving the status of long distance competitions by attracting elite skiers and increase the media and public interest for those races.
In 2016, the race "La Transjurassienne" 68km FT will be registered  in the FIS Worldloppet Cup's calendar. Last year, "La Transju'Classic" 56km CT was the race of the "FIS Marathon Cup".

Prizes - rules article
The organising committee of each race participating in the FIS Worldloppet Cup guarantees a prize fund of 21 000 € to be divided between the 6 best placed competitors in each of men's ans ladies' races.
6 first men (La Transjurassienne) : 1st : 5 000 € / 2nd : 2 500 € / 3rd : 1 500 € / 4th : 750 € / 5th : 500 € / 6th : 250 €
6 first ladies (La Transjurassienne) : 1st : 5 000 € / 2nd : 2 500 € / 3rd : 1 500 € / 4th : 750 € / 5th : 500 € / 6th : 250 €

 

For the final ranking :
FIS provides overall trophies. Worldloppet provides prizes of a net value of more than 30 000 € to be divided equaly between the fisrt six men and fisrt six ladies scoring the greatest number of total points over the course of the 8 participating races, as following :
3 first men : 1st : 7 400 € / 2nd : 4 000 € / 3rd : 2 000 €
3 first ladies :1st : 7 400 € / 2nd : 4 000 € / 3rd : 2 000 €

Award ceremony : The overall trophies will be awarded immediatly after the finish of the final race of the competition.Any competitor eligible for a prize who does not attend the award ceremony to receive his/her prize in person, may be subject to a financial penalty decided by the Worldloppet Executive Committee.
